Neighborhood Watch Tracking Tool
Tools to Strengthen Families and Communities
 

Neighborhoods with high rates of social isolation often have more neighborhood disorganization leading to increased crime and violence. Community outreach workers can use this Neighborhood Watch Tracking Tool to learn the process of organizing into a neighborhood watch group to begin efforts to reduce incidents of crime and violence and even serve as a community action group that focuses on a range of issues affecting children and families. A neighborhood watch is usually implemented in collaboration with local law enforcement which makes it possible for residents to gain greater understanding of the roles law enforcement plays in their community.

The Neighborhood Watch process knits residents into a cohesive whole, with more power to positively impact their neighborhood than when they act alone. In addition, Neighborhood Watch is usually implemented in collaboration with local law enforcement.
