FirstStep: A Tool for Case Managers 
 
 
FirstStep is a tool developed for case managers and outreach workers to help assist eligible homeless families access federal benefit programs. Family services, parent involvement, and other social services staff may use this resource to help families understand, identify, and access benefits. This literature provides some important insights into issues affecting homeless families.
