Leading form the Middle is a presentation that shares information about the relationship between the governing board and the policy groups. Management staff, governing board members, and others who have interactions with these groups will find this information useful. The PowerPoint is designed to:
- Strengthen your understanding of the
roles and responsibilities of the governing board, management
staff and policy groups
- Recognize the structure and systems that
must exist to have a well functioning Head Start program
- Assess how relationships among the governing body, management staff, and policy groups are presently formed and sustained
Examine a cluster of competencies and approaches you can employ to support balance and positive interactions among governing boards, policy groups and staff.
