Financial Aid for the Deaf
Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf
Limited to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, this scholarship program offers awards ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.
The Geoffrey Foundation
This scholarship is limited to students who are deaf or hard of hearing and utilizing an auditory/verbal approach to communication. It consists of financial assistance toward a minimum three-year undergraduate degree at an accredited university and is paid in annual installments on the completion of each year of study.
Graduate Fellowship Fund
This fund gives financial assistance to deaf graduates of Gallaudet University and other accredited colleges and universities who are in pursuit of graduate study at colleges and universities for people who hear normally.
National Association of the Deaf, William C. Stokoe Scholarship
This scholarship is limited to deaf students who have graduated from a four-year college program and are pursuing part- or full-time graduate studies in a field related to sign language or the deaf community or who are developing a special project on one of these topics.
PEPNet-Northeast at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf
PEPNet-Northeast, based at Rochester Institute of Technology, provides outreach and technical assistance to postsecondary programs in the Northeast serving individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing. It offers online financial aid information geared especially for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, PEPNet-Northeast is one of four regional postsecondary education centers that provide technical assistance to postsecondary institutions across the nation.

The American Political Science Association offers a list of resources on its website to assist minority students in the search for financial aid. The list includes public and private funding resources as well as opportunities for scholarships, fellowships, internships, grants, awards, etc.
Thurgood Marshall College Fund
This national organization provides scholarships for African American students attending its 47 member public Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Students visiting the organization’s website can register to find out about programs available to them.

FinAid is an online resource that allows students to create a profile and find scholarships appropriate to them using the free scholarship search. This website also offers information regarding the whole process of financing college, including tips on loans, savings and financial aid applications.
Funding Education Beyond High School: The Guide to Federal Student Aid
This website offers access to a financial aid resource from the U.S. Department of Education that gives students details about grants, loans, and work-study programs. The booklet can be downloaded from the website or ordered from the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-433-3243.
Get-Recruited Program
This program offers students a chance to be recruited, and perhaps be offered scholarships to attend colleges, universities and graduate schools throughout the United States. This service is free.

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® NORTH CAROLINA
The T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Project gives scholarships to child care workers to complete coursework in early childhood education and to increase their compensation. It is an umbrella for a variety of different scholarship programs for teachers, directors and family child care providers working in regulated child care programs in North Carolina and other states across the country. T.E.A.C.H. is open to child care providers in state-licensed child care (including programs serving children from infancy through school age), Head Start, and pre-kindergarten programs.
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® ALABAMA
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® ALABAMA is a scholarship program that was developed to increase the level of education and effectiveness of early learning professionals by making the educational process more affordable, increasing wages, and reducing staff turnover rates. Scholarships are currently offered for the CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential Assessment Fee and Associate's Degrees in Child Development or Early Care and Education, and in some cases Early Childhood Education. T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® ALABAMA provides scholarships to center teachers, directors, family home providers, and preschool paraprofessionals to go back to school to earn more formal education. T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® DELAWARE provides scholarships and supports for CDA, coursework leading toward an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood, and the Early Childhood Education Director's Certificate. All T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood scholarships link increased education to increased compensation and require recipients and sponsoring early childhood programs to share the cost. T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® FLORIDA serves as an umbrella for a variety of educational scholarship opportunities for people working in early care and education programs. It is funded by the Agency for Workforce Innovation Office of Early Learning and involves a three-way partnership for the sharing of expenses by the caregiver receiving the scholarship, the sponsoring child care center or family child care home and T.E.A.C.H. Child care center teachers, directors, owners and family child care providers may be eligible for a scholarship. T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood ILLINOIS
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood ILLINOIS is an opportunity for professional development that is administered by the Illinois Network of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies (INCCRRA). By attending classes at a participating institution, credit can be earned toward a Child Development Associate's (CDA) credential, Certified Childcare Professional (CCP) credential, or an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. It assists teachers, directors, and family child care providers in continuing their professional development, provides increased compensation with more education, and requires that each participant agree to remain in the field of early childhood for a year following the receipt of the scholarship. T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® IOWA is a comprehensive scholarship program that provides the early childhood workforce access to educational opportunities and is helping establish a well-qualified, fairly compensated, and stable workforce for our children. All preschool teachers, child care center directors, teachers and aides, and child development home providers working in regulated programs in Iowa for a minimum number of hours each week are eligible for this scholarship. T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® NEBRASKA provides scholarships to help early care and education professionals complete coursework at a local college and work toward a degree in Early Childhood Education. Scholarships are available for both Associate's and Bachelor's Degrees. If you work in a licensed child care home, child care center, Head Start or a preschool operated by a public school, you may be eligible for this scholarship.
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® NEW MEXICO
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® NEW MEXICO offers financial support for tuition and books, release time from work, and bonuses or raises for early childhood teachers who want to work on Associate's, Bachelor's or Graduate's Degrees in early childhood education. T.E.A.C.H. is designed for teachers already working in early care and education centers, family child care homes, Head Start Centers and NM Pre-K sites.
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood ® NEVADA
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood ® NEVADA is a part of Nevada's early childhood educational development system and is designed to address the lack of early childhood specialization, inadequate compensation, high turnover rate, and the lack of recognition for Early Care Providers in Nevada. It provides scholarships for home care providers, center teachers and aides, or center directors working in a licensed facility at least 19 hours a week. T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® PENNSYLVANIA
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® PENNSYLVANIA works with providers, colleges and child care staff to offer scholarship programs and support systems that improve the education and compensation of child care workers. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must work about 25-30 hours a week as classroom staff or center director at a DPW-certified child care facility in Pennsylvania for at least one year, or Pre-K Counts Head Start Program.
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® SOUTH CAROLINA
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® SOUTH CAROLINA provides comprehensive scholarships for teachers employed at regulated child care facilities to take courses toward the South Carolina Early Childhood Credential, a Certificate, a Diploma, or an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. The Project is an effort to improve the quality of child care in South Carolina by increasing the education, compensation and stability of the early childhood work force. The scholarships are available to teachers, directors, and family child care providers who are working in state regulated child care facilities.
