Early Childhood Education Workforce: Practitioner Registry Systems
 

Comprehensive professional development systems for early care and education personnel ideally  include a tracking system, commonly called a 'registry'.  In this case, Registry Systems are made up of databases that track completed early childhood training and can be an integral part of established pathways that will lead to qualifications, degrees, and credentials.  For Managers, Human Resources and Education staff, this information provides details about each of the 21 states that have implemented some type of early childhood practitioner or training registry.
