FY2010 Office of Head Start Monitoring Protocol and Guides

We are pleased to post the FY 2010 Office of Head Start Monitoring Protocol and Guides.  The Protocol design and format have been enhanced to increase the efficiency and quality of field work. As you review the Protocol, you will note that the majority of the questions are the same questions that were in the FY 2009 Protocol.

The FY 2010 Monitoring Guides that accompany the Protocol have been developed to organize the evidence gathering process.  The evidence collected through each Guide is linked to Compliance Questions within the Protocol.  The Guides are organized by reviewer and protocol section and contain the same questions listed on the Compliance Questions within the Protocol.

FY2009 Office of Head Start Monitoring Protocol

In FY 2009, the Protocol design and format were enhanced to increase the efficiency and quality of field work.  In addition, The Office of Head Start added new questions that incorporate some of the requirements of the Head Start Act, as amended December 12, 2007.
