INFORMATION MEMORANDUM

TO: All Head Start Grantees and Delegate Agencies

SUBJECT: Announcement of the Fiscal Year 1995 Discretionary Announcement for Head Start Research Projects and Program Projects; Availability of Funds and Request for Applications

LEGAL AND RELATED REFERENCES: The Head Start Act, as amended, U.S. C. 9831 et seq.

SUMMARY:

I am pleased to announce the availability of funds for the six Head Start priority areas: three research areas; two demonstration project areas; and the establishment of the Head Start Fellows Program. These priority areas will be of primary interest to institutions of higher education, research institutions and organizations that operate on a national level. Some of the priority areas call for applicants to partner with Head Start programs.

Attached, for your information, is a copy of the program announcement recently published in the Federal Register.
