TO: Head Start Grantees and Delegate Agencies

SUBJECT: 1996 Catalog of Head Start Materials

INFORMATION: Attached is a copy of the updated Catalog of Head Start Materials as well as order forms for these materials and videotapes. We have made several changes in this catalog to help you meet your needs and to improve responsiveness and accuracy when filling orders.

The catalog now contains abstracts which comprehensively and concisely describe the entries. Availability criteria are provided for many items listed to indicate how many copies we are able to provide. When ordering, please keep in mind that printing and reproduction funds are limited and that we are unable to provide copies of publications to every Head Start staff member and/or parent. Note that all materials, except videotapes and corresponding user/discussion guides, are available free of charge to Head Start Grantees and Delegate Agencies.

A catalog number has also been added to the Catalog this year. Please order items by using both the title and catalog number.

In addition, you will also find a notation indicating those materials that are available in both English and Spanish. On page 31, we have included a list of all materials available in Spanish.

As in the past, to order materials, the Grantee or Delegate Agency Head Start director should complete the order form and mail or fax it to the Head Start Information and Publication Center, P.O. Box 26417, Alexandria, VA 22313-0417 (Fax: 703/683-5769). Please allow at least two weeks for delivery after your request has been received.
