SUBJECT: Extension of the effective date for Head Start vehicle requirements

INFORMATION:

The President recently signed P.L.109-450 which contains a provision extending the effective date of complying with the requirements of 45 CFR Part 1310.12; i.e. that children are transported in school buses or allowable alternate vehicles, from December 30, 2006 to June 30, 2007.
