What’s New in Research
Welcome! The Research section of the ECLKC is designed to make ACF funded Head Start research accessible to the Head Start community. Within this section, you will find Research to Practice Briefs, TipSheets, research reports and other resources that offer important research results. This research section is aimed to help programs become more knowledgeable about Head Start research and to help programs’ work be guided and strengthened through research.
The National Academies focuses on 2 topics: the identification of outcomes associated with early stages of child development, and the quality and purpose of different techniques for developmental assessments.
This brief summarizes an implementation evaluation that was conducted to examine the extent to which grantees who participated in the spring 2006 training are implementing IM/IL enhancements.
FACES is a study that measures Head Start program performance at the national level and includes a battery of child assessments along with data from parents, teachers and program managers. This brief profiles the Head Start children and families who were newly enrolled in the program in fall 2006.
