Health and Safety
 

Head Start has a long-standing commitment to ensuring the health and safety of all children. This section provides tools and resources in response to health and safety issues of children with disabilities. Here you will find general resources, tip sheets and activities that promote the health and safety of children with disabilities.

Hearing and Vision*
In this section, you will find resources that offer appropriate techniques for screening, evaluation, and assessment to identify children with hearing or vision impairments.

Infants and Toddlers
Health and safety are priorities when establishing high quality environments for infants and toddlers with special needs. You will find information and guidance for creating supportive environments.

Mental Health
In this section you will find articles and other publications that offer research, stories, and interventions that support mental health services for children and adults.

Nutrition
