Abstract
The
Early Childhood Outcomes Center (ECO
Center) is
funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special
Education Programs (OSEP) to support State agencies responsible for
preschool special education (Section 619 of IDEA) and early
intervention (Part C of IDEA) as they develop and implement child
outcome measures for infants, toddlers, and young children with
disabilities. Through the ECO Center’s work with states, the
project has developed “Instrument Crosswalks” to describe how
commonly used early childhood development assessment tools align
with the outcome measures required for State Performance Plan
reporting to OSEP. This link offers Disabilities Specialists and
other administrators a broad overview of how commonly used early
childhood assessment tools provide data States may use to measure
and report outcomes for children with disabilities.
