State Activities: Autism

Abstract

The following directory lists several ongoing projects in states that are seeking to find causes and interventions for young children diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Parents, family service workers, and disabilities coordinators will find information about research projects throughout the country. Collaborations with these projects may provide added intervention and services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The following directory is courtesy of the Act Early. Learn the Signs. Campaign from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

State Activities: Autism

CDC funds projects on autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) in several states.  These projects track the number of children who have an ASD, conduct studies to find out what factors make it more likely that a child will have an ASD, and offer education and outreach programs for researchers, families, and other people affected by ASD. More>>
