Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program: State Programs

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) initiated programs to eliminate childhood lead poisoning in the United States. Funded states develop, target, implement, coordinate, and evaluate their lead poisoning prevention efforts. Head Start programs and staff may use this resource to access their state’s contact person, strategic elimination plan, or screening plan to further understand their state’s guidelines for lead poisoning prevention.
