Permissions for Course Materials
The Preschool Language and Literacy Course was funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Head Start, and developed through grant number 90YL0002/01 by the National Head Start Family Literacy Center (NHSFLC), Sonoma State University (SSU).
The intent of the Office of Head Start is to support Head Start staff and families in their efforts to earn degrees. These course materials and resources are intended for use by institutes of higher education and training and technical assistance providers that serve Head Start staff and families.
Copyrighted materials are included in the Preschool Language and Literacy Course Required Reading. The Office of Head Start has secured permission from publishers to allow electronic downloading of these materials from the Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center (ECLKC): http://eclkc.ohs.acf.hhs.gov/hslc
For articles published by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) follow the NAEYC published policy which states that instructors may print one copy of the article per student as long as there is no charge for the copies.
