Goals
The overarching purpose of the Institute is to support Head Start leaders in their efforts to promote school readiness within systems and services that are data-driven. The Institute goals to promote data-driven leadership include:
- Promote leadership for ensuring quality teaching and learning; parent, family, and community engagement; comprehensive health services; and program management and fiscal accountability.
- Advance leadership and program practices to integrate cultural and linguistic responsiveness across systems and services.
- Increase leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities for promoting positive child outcomes from birth to five across all settings and program options.
- Provide effective leadership tools for supporting family outcomes and systemic, integrated, and comprehensive family engagement.
