This Importance of Oral Health webcast, outlines the commitment of the Office of Head Start (OHS) in improving oral health care in young children. To help combat the problem of tooth decay in the Head Start (HS) and Early Head Start (EHS) communities, OHS awarded 52 Oral Health Initiative grants to HS and EHS in three areas: education, community partnerships, and improving access to care. To further improve access to care, OHS is working to help identify dental homes for Head Start children. This presentation features a roundtable discussion and includes and a question and answer session for program staff and stakeholders in the Head Start community.
