The Early Language and Literacy Classroom Observation (ELLCO) tool is used to look at classroom environments and teacher practice. Mentor-coaches will spend time in Clip 8 of the Unit 2 Tutored Video Instruction (TVI) learning about the five-point ELLCO rating scale will and then use the ELLCO to score a video observation. The panel shares how experts scored this video observation and then Steps to Success facilitators will lead Mentor-Coaches in discussion about this observation and how it was scored.

Clip 9, the final clip of the Unit 2 Tutored Video Instruction (TVI) provides Mentor-Coaches with a second opportunity to use the ELLCO to score a video observation. Again, the panel shares how experts scored this video observation and then Steps to Success facilitators will lead Mentor-Coaches in discussion about this observation and how it was scored.
