On September 18, 2007, at a press event that took place at the Edward C. Mazique Parent and Child Center, Acting Surgeon General Moritsugu announced the release of a report about the health consequences to children who are exposed to secondhand smoke.  During the event, Tezrah Thomas, a parent from Mazique Center, shared her story on how and why she made her home and car smoke-free.
