Head Start Helps Families and Communities in Crisis: Hurricane Katrina

Head Start programs exist to provide comprehensive developmental and health services to low-income, preschool children and their families. This nineteen minute video shows that the devastation of Hurricane Katrina overwhelms us with grief, but also motivates us to do all we can to help those affected by the tragedy. By partnering with local organizations, charities, government agencies, educational institutions and other non-profit organizations, the Head Start centers in the Gulf Coast region are beginning to achieve a substantial measure of self sustainability.
