- Download and install the newest version of the RealPlayer.
It’s free from
Real Network's website at
http://www.real.com/freeplayer/?rppr=edu
- After the installation, make sure your RealPlayer is up-to-date.
It is
recommended that you should do this even after a fresh new installation of
RealPlayer because there might be new added functionality and updates since
the installer was deployed.
On a Windows operating
system, launch your RealPlayer program from the Start Menu by going to Start
> All Programs > Real > RealPlayer.
After RealPlayer is launched, click on Tools >
Check for Update.
After the available updates window opens, click on
Select All button to ensure you receive all available updates and then
click Install button.
The step above should be performed regularly
because this will enhance your capability in viewing ECLKC videos.
3. Set your connection
speed within RealPlayer
Click on Tools > Preferences
Select Connection option and
click Test Connection button.
This will test the available bandwidth
for your connection and automatically set the appropriate speeds for Normal and
Maximum. Having these set to inappropriate speeds will cause poor performance
and audio/video quality.
