Abstract

Summarizes the first phase of research conducted by the Advisory Committee on Head Start Research and Evaluation. Designed for both Head Start community and the general population, the report outlines previous and current research on Head Start, the framework utilized for studying the program’s impact, and the rationale and steps for implementing recommendations developed from the researchers’ findings.
