What Is It?

In 2001, the United Nations declared June 20 World Refugee Day. It honors the courage and determination of families forced to flee their homes due to threat of persecution. The day is a chance to acknowledge the impact of war on families and bring awareness to the refugee experience. Celebrate the vast contributions refugee families have made in your Head Start program and their communities.
