Building Blocks for A Healthy Future: Children

When parents are involved in their children's early lives, they find it easier to talk about alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drugs as children get older. Family services staff and parent involvement staff members, and other social services staff can share this interactive web site with parents. It allows parents to interact with children playing games, singing songs, and learning about each other. Studies have found that parents who talk to their children about alcohol, tobacco, and drugs help them avoid substance abuse.
