Diabetes is a common, serious disease that is controllable. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) created a brochure to educate people about diabetes, the risk of developing diabetes, and the ways to prevent and control diabetes. This brochure is a resource for health managers and health care providers to educate the families they serve that may be at risk for developing diabetes.

Diabetes occurs when the level of sugar in your blood remains too high.
