	The Pyramid Model for Promoting the Social and Emotional Development of Infants and Young Children Fact Sheet
	The following fact sheet may serve as a guide for early care teachers and administrators when assembling resources to promote the social and emotional well being of children in classrooms, programs and communities. To read PDF files, get here. The Pyramid Model provides a tiered intervention framework for promoting the social, emotional, and behavioral development of young children. This fact sheet describes the three tiers of intervention practice: universal promotion for all children; secondary preventions to address the intervention needs for children at risk of social emotional delays; and tertiary interventions needed for children with persistent challenges. Additionally, the fact sheet outlines six key assumptions to consider when implementing this Model.
