PowerPoint Presentations

Follow the specifications below when submitting PowerPoint presentations to the Head Start Information and Communications Center (HSICC) for processing.

Submission Form

National Centers and others who produce content for the Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center (ECLKC) are required to complete a Submission Form. It helps to ensure all pertinent information is included with each piece of content sent to the Head Start Information and Communications Center (HSICC) for processing.

Plain Language Requirements

The Plain Writing Act of 2010 requires that federal agencies use "clear government communication that the public can understand and use." The goal is to write content for the broadest audience that helps users quickly find what they need and understand what they find.

Third-Party Mobile Applications (Apps): Build Requirements and Guidelines

Use the guidelines below when developing an app for the Office of Head Start (OHS). Review OHS build requirements and best practices for app analytics. Learn more about phases of development and the roles of Head Start Information and Communications Center (HSICC) teams, including the Technical Team, Quality Assurance (QA), and the product manager. Explore step-by-step process flows for the build and release of Apple (iOS) and Android apps.

Webinars and Webcasts

A "webcast" refers to information shared with a large audience via the Internet. It may be a simple audio stream or include visual aids such as slides, recorded video clips, or live demonstrations. A "webinar" expands the basic webcast into an interactive format. It attempts to mimic the benefits of attending a live seminar with audience questions, polls and surveys.

Promotional Language

Review tips and examples for writing standardized yet engaging brief descriptions, or “teasers.” Teasers are used for event and resource promotion on the Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center (ECLKC) and in training and technical assistance (T/TA) smartsheet forecasts.
