Focusing on the perspectives of adults with disabilities, this session examines the importance of their experiences and successes in developing a long-term vision for infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. The videos, Marvin and Jack and Ted Polito Jr.: An American Man, provide an opportunity to celebrate the lives of three men with disabilities and to learn what inclusion means in their lives. Session activities allow participants to consider how involving adults with disabilities in their programs and communities can have a positive impact on children, families, and service providers. The session ends with the inspirational video I Wanna Be, a public service announcement (PSA) developed by the National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY). In this PSA, children with and without disabilities share their visions of what they want to be when they grow up.
