FACES Reports
The Head Start Family and Child Experiences Survey (FACES), 1997–2022, is a longitudinal study of Head Start programs around the country. It describes the characteristics, well-being, and development of children and families at the beginning of the Head Start program year. A national portrait of the population Head Start serves provides information to consider when assessing needs and setting national goals for the program.
