Privacy Policy for NCPFCE Digital Markers of Progress

The National Center on Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (NCPFCE) will collect no information about you, other than information automatically collected and stored (see below), when you visit our web site, as well as username and password information to allow you access to the Digital Markers of Progress (DMOP), unless you choose to provide additional information to us.

Information Automatically Collected and Stored

When you browse through any web site, information about your visit can be collected. We use the comprehensive analytics tool, Google Analytics. NCPFCE will use the web analytics data only to determine aggregate usage patterns for our online digital tools and resources. We will not seek to determine personal information from this data.

We use this aggregate information to inform the continuous improvement of our own services and to help us make our site more useful to visitors. Unless it is specifically stated otherwise, no additional information will be collected about you. NCPFCE will record your e-mail address in the event that you send a message by e-mail or if you register to use the DMOP through the Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center (ECLKC) web site. Your e-mail address will be temporarily stored and will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it. Your e-mail address will not be added to any mailing lists.

You do not have to give us personal information to visit the DMOP web site. If you choose to provide us with additional information about yourself through an e-mail message, form, survey, etc., we will only maintain the information as long as needed to respond to your question or to fulfill the stated purpose of the communication. Communications which are considered official correspondence are maintained, as required by law, for historical purposes. These communications are also protected by the Privacy Act which restricts our use of them, yet permits certain disclosures.

User Generated Content

User generated content such as, but not limited to, notes and messages, is the property of NCPFCE. NCPFCE and any 3rd party vendors will not share, or disseminate user generated content. User generated content is collected and stored for the following purposes:

  • To maintain services to users, allowing users to return to previous work, or refer to their own generated content.
  • To create aggregate reports of the overall use of the system, and its varying functions.

3rd Party Access Agreement

Third parties may be used by NCPFCE to provide services on our digital and web-based tools, specifically the DMOP.

  • Our 3rd party provider(s) will use the data from NCPFCE websites, and digital resources only to provide and maintain the service on behalf of NCPFCE; it will not share the information with others or use the information for other purposes.
  • Our tool provider will not correlate and report on any Customer Data with any other data collected through other products, services or web properties.

Persistent Cookies

Consistent with the Department of Health and Human Services' policy on the Usage of Persistent Cookies, \persistent\ web cookies are not used on this site. \Persistent\ web cookies are defined as web cookies that can track the activities of users over time and across different web sites.

Disclosure

NCPFCE does not disclose, give, sell or transfer any personal information about our visitors, unless required for law enforcement by statute.

Systems of Records

Information originally collected in traditional paper systems can be submitted electronically. Electronically submitted information is maintained and destroyed pursuant to the Federal Records Act, and in some cases may be subject to the Privacy Act. If information that you submit is to be used in a Privacy Act system of records, there will be a Privacy Act Notice provided.
