Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) Locator

The Office of Head Start (OHS) posts funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) to solicit applications for grant funds to specific service areas or a national competition. Find out more about understanding FOAs and how to write a strong application on the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Grants page.

Use the search function below to find service areas in which Head Start and Early Head Start grants are currently available. A grant listed as "current" indicates eligible entities are able to submit an application in response to that FOA through Grants.gov. If a grant is listed as "expired," then the FOA is closed and applications can no longer be submitted for competitive review.

Once you select a service area from the drop-down menu, related documents are made available, including the grantee profile and inventory and frequently asked questions (FAQs). Grantee profiles and inventories are not available for national competitions. Find general frequently asked questions, not specific to one service area, on the FAQs page.
