HSPPS Institute for Health Managers
Now that you’ve had the chance to read and start to implement the new Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), join us to see what the standards look like in practice and how you can assess the right way to approach some of the health and wellness areas in your program.
The National Center on Early Childhood Health and Wellness (NCECHW) is providing a one-day intensive look at the HSPPS and their impact on services to support health of children, families, and staff. This health intensive will take place the day before the National Head Start Association’s 2017 Annual Conference and Expo on Friday, April 7th from 8am to 4pm. The NCECHW will also provide additional health and wellness sessions through NHSA, so we encourage you to come, learn more and connect with your peers!
The HSPPS Institute will focus on specific areas of health and wellness in the new HSPPS, including:
- Health Education for Families
- Mental Health
- Caring for Our Children Basics and Caring for Our Children, 3rd Edition
