Commenting Policy

Stay focused. All viewpoints are welcome, but comments should remain relevant to Head Start and early childhood care and education.

We do not allow graphic, obscene, explicit, or racial comments nor do we allow comments that are abusive, hateful, or intended to defame anyone or any organization.

We do not allow solicitations or advertisements. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial, or non-governmental agency. Similarly, we do not allow attempts to defame or defraud any financial, commercial, or non-governmental agency. Apparent spam will be removed and may cause the author(s) to be blocked from the page without notice.

Tell the truth. Spreading misleading or false information is prohibited nor do we allow comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity.

Do not use this page to report criminal activity. If you have information for law enforcement, please contact your local police agency. You also can report suspected fraud by calling 1-800-HHS-TIPS (1-800-447-8477).

You participate at your own risk, taking responsibility for your comments, your username, and any information provided. Please do not post personal information including your phone number, address, and social security number.

We recognize that the Web is a 24/7 medium, and your comments are welcome at any time. However, given the need to manage federal resources, comment moderating should only be expected to occur during regular business hours.

We retain the discretion to determine which comments violate our comment policy. We also reserve the right to remove or not allow comments to get posted.

You are encouraged to quote, republish, or share any content on this page on your own blog, website, or other communication or publication. If you do so, please credit OHS as the author of the content, as a courtesy.
