This booklet describes the benefits of breastfeeding and addresses common concerns related to breastfeeding in the African American community. Program staff may use this guide to educate expecting African American families about the benefits of breastfeeding.
This Guide is to support you and your family with breastfeeding so you can succeed in every stage. It will help you learn that breastfeeding is a very special way to give your baby the best start at life. We know that our children are our future, and breast milk can give them a head start in their lives.
