Personal Safety for Children: A Guide for Parents

Children are our most precious resource, but they don’t always have the skills to protect themselves. It is your responsibility to teach your children the skills that may keep them from harm. This guide will help you keep your children safe.

The Personal Safety for Children: A Guide for Parents pamphlet assists Head Start families and teachers on how to help children learn to protect themselves from harm. Child safety experts from several government agencies collaborated on this pamphlet, including the Department of Justice, Health and Human Services, Education, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
