Books are an excellent source of support material for developing children’s mathematical knowledge and vocabulary. Head Start teaching staff and early childhood educators will find this curriculum planning tool packet beneficial for developing experiences and opportunities that extend the mathematical concepts introduced in books. Included in this packet are four curriculum web examples, a description of each of the books used in the examples, and a blank curriculum web.
