Marvelous Explorations Through Science and Stories (MESS)
Teachers may use this guide as a resource to respond to children’s interests and curiosity as they explore prehistoric life including dinosaurs in the form of fossils and other available evidence. Through planned explorations, teachers will engage children in the process of scientific inquiry.
The topics in this guide includes the study of many kinds of dinosaurs, what dinosaurs ate, what happened to them and why, and what fossils can tell us about the prehistoric age. Teachers will find a list of investigation tools, supplies, and books to facilitate children’s science explorations of dinosaurs and fossils.
