Duties:
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as Data Specialist to the Children & Family Services Division. Conducts business via the phone in a pleasant, helpful and professional manner.
- Accurately prepares necessary reports;
- Coordinates and maintains the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance procedures and efforts for Head Start.
- Maintains a broad knowledge of department and program policies and procedures.
- Maintains physical and electronic files for the department.
- Assist Director in monitoring budget expenditures and processes purchase requests and claims.
- Develops expertise and utilizes all Head Start/Early Head Start/Childcare program software systems with accuracy and assures timely completion of data entry for all required program elements
- Proficient and a minimum four years’ experience with working with COPA and ChildPlus software
- Enter a variety of program related data in program software information systems.
- Maintains integrity of all program software information system by troubleshooting, problem solving and applying current updates.
- Runs reports to verify accuracy of data entry.
- Develops, coordinates and produces weekly, monthly, and annual reports as needed by the
program for management, state and federal reporting requirements. - Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding program, student and parent information.
- Maintains excellent organizational skills.
- Establishes and maintains effective working and public relationships.
- Maintains accurate and complete records in a timely manner.
- Ability to interpret and communicate departmental and program policies, rules and regulations.
- Ability to effectively use standard and company computer programs.
- Ability to compose letters and prepare clear and detailed reports and written procedures.
- Ability to take and edit public and departmental meeting notes.
- Considerable knowledge of business English, spelling and composition.
- Ability and desire to work in a team atmosphere.
- Must be able to adapt to change and flexible
- Ability to monitor the financial obligations of the department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in business or related field.
- Recent Data Specialist experience and training; including high level of experience in Microsoft Office applications;
- Experience in dealing with a diverse population of staff, parents and the public
- Knowledge of computer programs; bi-lingual skills; preferred experience in Head Start/Early
- Must be vaccinated for COID-19 per Head Start/PLCCA mandate or qualify for an exemption waiver
Instructions:
Salary Range: $55,000 - $59,000
