Duties:
The ideal candidate for the position is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and has experience meeting critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment and collaboratively with colleagues from a variety of backgrounds.
- Provides leadership and advice, identify issues, and provide solutions, best practices, and procedures to ensure the efficient achievement of program goals.
- Assists with work priorities and staff management by monitoring workflow, and adjusting priorities to meet objectives.
- Utilizes communication skills to advise on project status, inform on issues affecting accomplishment of objectives by preparing a variety of reports, replies, and analysis of complex or sensitive issues and serves as representative on a variety of workgroups and committees.
- Oversees the coordination of travel arrangements including developing policies and keeping up to date on current regulations and procedures, prepares travel vouchers, and maintains travel records.
OHS helps young children from low-income families prepare to succeed in school through local programs. Head Start promotes school readiness of children under five from low-income families through education, health, social and other services.
Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the specialized experience requirements as noted below.
Specialized Experience:
GS-14: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below:
- Providing leadership on efficient execution of program goals;
- Managing workflow to meet objectives or adjust priorities;
- Analyzing complex or sensitive issues to respond to inquiries from high-level authorities;
- Developing policies and documentation for the coordination of travel arrangements.
Education:
- This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
