Job Description:
Responsible for the planning and implementation of daily classroom curriculum activities for a group of up to 20 children, up to 4 years of age. Assists in the delivery of health, education and social services to Head Start Program children and their families. This includes those with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. Participates in the active supervision of children arriving and departing on busses as assigned and/or needed.
Position Qualifications:
Teacher I: Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, including Child Development, Special Education, Human Development/Ecology, Child & Studies, Psychology Birth to 8, with a majority of credits in Early Childhood Education. Experience working with infants, toddlers and/or preschoolers as applicable is preferred.
Teacher II: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, including Child Development, Special Education, Human Development/Ecology, Child & Studies, Psychology Birth to 8 with a majority of credits in Early Childhood Education. Experience working with infants, toddlers and/or preschoolers as applicable is preferred.
Teacher III: Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, including Child Development, Special Education, Human Development/Ecology, Child & Studies, Psychology Birth to 8 with a majority of credits in Early Childhood Education OR Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field plus a teaching license/certification. Experience working with infants, toddlers and/or preschoolers as applicable is preferred.
