Under the supervision of the Education-Special Needs Manager, the Preschool Teacher assists with overseeing and directing the planning, organizing, and implementation of education services in a healthy and safe learning environment in the program. The Teacher works in partnership with parents to promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of Head Start children.

- Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, Master’s preferred;
- NYS Teaching Certification Birth-2, or N-6;

- Ability to meet clearance requirements including physical examination/TB screening, documentation, criminal background check, state child abuse registry check;
- Previous Head Start or early childhood experience preferred;
- Computer literacy required;
- Spoken and written fluency in English/Spanish; English/French preferred.
