Duties:

Parent, Family and Community Engagement (PFCE) Manager:

  • Develop and implement strategies and programs to enhance parent, family, and community engagement in alignment with Head Start’s PFCE framework.
  • Create and oversee activities and workshops that support family development, parenting skills, and community involvement.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with families to promote active participation in their child’s education and overall program activities.
  • Provide guidance and resources to families to support their child’s development and well-being.
  • Address family needs and concerns, providing referrals to additional services as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, agencies, and stakeholders to enhance program services and resources.
  • Collaborate with local organizations to coordinate community events, outreach activities, and service referrals.
  • Train and support Head Start staff in effective family engagement strategies and practices.
  • Facilitate workshops and professional development opportunities for staff and families on topics related to family engagement and community involvement.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data related to family engagement, program participation, and community partnerships.
  • Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of PFCE activities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that PFCE activities comply with Head Start performance standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of PFCE strategies and practices to ensure they meet program goals and standards.
  • Develop and disseminate communication materials to keep families informed about program activities, services, and opportunities.
  • Organize and lead family and community events to foster engagement and strengthen relationships.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the PFCE team, including setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with other program managers and staff to integrate PFCE strategies into all aspects of the Head Start program.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Education, Public Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a Head Start or early childhood education program.
  • Proven experience in managing ERSEA functions and leading a team.
  • Strong knowledge of Head Start performance standards and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Strong understanding of Head Start performance standards and the PFCE framework.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and community partners.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Head Start.
  • Minimum of five years supervisory experience.

Salary for the position is $29.75 per hour $61,880
