Head Start EEC Enrollment Counselor (Administrative position in Northampton) $5,000 Bonus
Help us support children and families! Head Start & Early Learning Programs partners with families from pregnancy to kindergarten to form strong relationships and support their children’s learning and development. As a key member of the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA) team, the EEC Enrollment Counselor works directly with families to help them enroll in our program and ensures that our full-day/full-year center-based program is enrolled with children eligible for EEC financial assistance and that we are in compliance with MA Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) policies.
The EEC Enrollment Counselor has broad administrative responsibilities including the overall day-to-day management of enrolling children into EEC Income-Eligible and Supportive contracted slots and slots reserved for vouchers; educating, supporting, and empowering parents in their search for quality childcare and education services; assisting families in accessing their most appropriate subsidy; and complying with all procedural and documentation requirements of our program and our funding agencies.

The ideal candidate possesses a willingness to collaborate with families and sensitivity and knowledge of working with families and individuals from diverse populations. They are a strong collaborator with staff of our program and the state agencies we work with. They have strong time management, organizational and communication skills, in addition to proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills. EEC financial assistance management experience preferred. Spanish-speaking candidates preferred.
Education Requirements: High school diploma or High School Equivalency and two years of related experience or AA in related field and six months experience.
This is a 37.5 hour/week position.
Salary Range: $21.24-$22.53/hour + $.50-$1 bilingual differential.
