Health Disability Services Specialist - Birmingham
East Coast Migrant Head Start Project
- The Health Disability Services Specialist will work out of Birmingham, Alabama Regional office. This position is responsible for the overall coordination, training and technical assistance, and monitoring of child and family health and disability services at three Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Centers in the Alabama Direct Services Program.
- The position is required to collaborate with Head Start partners locally and statewide to secure health, dental, mental health, nutrition, and disability services for enrolled children.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Public Health, Maternal & Child Health, Nursing or other health related field with five years’ experience working with children, including children with disabilities, and families in field related to degree.
- A Master’s degree in Special Education, Public Health, Maternal & Child Health, Nursing or other health related filed with three years’ experience working with children with disabilities, and families in field related to degree is preferred. Bilingual (Spanish-English) and Migrant Head Start experience is preferred.
