Position Summary
This position educates and coaches ten to twelve families in the areas of parenting, health, nutrition, and child development through weekly 90-minute home visits to assist parents/guardians in becoming more effective educators of their children.
Qualifications:
Minimum
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, working towards a baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or a related field. Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
Preferred
- Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or a related field.
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Degree(s) must be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.
Experience
- Prefer two years of infant/toddler and/or preschool teaching and/or home visiting experience. Early Head Start/Head Start experience preferred.
