Use this tool to learn about a family’s living situation to make an appropriate determination of eligibility for services. The tool is based on the definition of “homeless children and youth” that is is included in Section 725(2) of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act [42 U.S.C. § 11435a(2)]. It is intended for use by professionals in Head Start, Early Head Start, CCDF Lead Agencies or designated entities, and programs funded by CCDF subsidies.
